It’s one of my favorite examples: I’m going to go get coffee is Kawi widatsinegisi. So, coffee is Kawi; widatsinegisi means “I’m going to go get a liquid object at a distant location.”

It’s one of my favorite examples: I’m going to go get coffee is Kawi widatsinegisi. So, coffee is Kawi; widatsinegisi means “I’m going to go get a liquid object at a distant location.” So the wi is the part that means that it’s off at a distance. Dat and si kind of bookend the word as in like, it’s gonna happen in the immediate future. Si is first person singular “I.” Ne means that the object of the verb is a liquid, and ge is the part of the word that indicates picking up. So widatsinegisi, “I’m gonna get a liquid off at a distance.”
