An interdisciplinary team of researchers combine their expertise in human health, ecology, and urban planning to help vulnerable communities prepare for the next generation of extreme weather events. An organic chemist harnesses the power of plants to advance drug development. An English professor documents obscure writers and scholars who have made critical and long-lasting contributions to the literary world.

The third annual print edition of Endeavors showcases a variety of research projects — and researchers who pushed forward through the insurmountable challenges of the pandemic. Through adversity, the university continued to support faculty and trainees; conduct life-saving research on many diseases, including COVID-19; pursue knowledge and creativity and train the next generation of scientists and scholars.
